Just like the craftsman
or mission-style furniture of the early 1900's, this woodworking
project plan features sturdy mortise and through- tenon construction,
square pegs, and shop-made door pulls.
We made our craftsman bookcase with solid cherry and cherry plywood,
but if you prefer the more traditional look, you can always use
quartersawn white oak. Overall dimensions are 59" high x 48" wide
x 14" deep. All the shelves are adjustable. This project appeared
in Woodsmith No. 90.

Suggested power tools: Table saw, dado blade, router, drill
press.
