Building
a maple chest like this might seem a little intimidating, but with our
step-by-step plan and a little patience, you can get the job done. We used mortise
and tenon joinery for the frame, and dovetail joints on the drawers.

Plan includes lots of shop
tips & techniques—like how to create traditional bead trim, how to cut
your cove moldings on the table saw, and an easy way to rout dadoes using a simple
router guide. This
project appeared in Woodsmith magazine No. 152.

Suggested power tools: Table saw, router, band saw.
