The classic roots of this project are easy to see. It starts with the tasteful half columns flanking the case. They create a very impressive, almost architectural appearance.

And all the other details, from the frame and panel look to simple moldings, draw on the same theme. The beauty is that it all comes together with minimal effort. The sturdy case uses basic plywood construction. And don’t worry about the columns — they can be purchased. Some quick and easy pocket hole joinery takes care of much of the rest.
